My Names Matt Paolucci, i'm a 23 year old graduate from Coastal Carolina University and currently work through the USGA for the Golf Association of Philadelphia. I grew up in the Collegeville area and attended St Pius X high school where I first officially met Chris.

From the first time we met we clicked and we were best friends ever since. We played baseball and golf together through high school and gained a lot of recognition around the area for our performance on the links (Chris more so than me). Nevertheless, golf was the game that brought us together and made us as close as we were.

When I was getting ready to finish up my last semester at Coastal Carolina University I received a phone call from one of my best friends that would change my life forever. I was informed that Chris had been diagnosed with Leukemia and was going to have to start treatments as soon as possible. I immediately flew home to be with my friend through his first treatments and waves of chemo. I continued this trend every opportunity that I had to be by his side and give him the support that he needed. Chris beat Cancer not once but twice and was able to fight this terrible disease for two long hard fought years until the Cancer finally got the best of him and took my best friend away from me on October 30th 2015. Chris would tell you “it’s all good” and he wants everyone to know that everything’s okay. Now it’s my job to keep his name and legacy alive and I can’t think of a better way to do so than to do what we loved the most, golf. Gilbertsville golf club is where we played high school golf together and it only made sense to choose this as the location for the Inaugural Christopher Mark Fuga Memorial Golf Outing.
