SCROLL DOWN FOR THE STORY!!

On July 18th 2019, Lewis Hunter Stowers aka CHICKEN DELICIOUS passed away leaving a void in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched and a void in the late night Piano Bar scene in New York City.
If you ever walked into Mimi's and saw him play, odds are you would never forget him....his beautiful piano playing, his sharp-witted sense of humor, his huge and ever-changing collection of masks and props and his iPad with alphabetized lists of words to every song.....
He was one of a kind, an irreplaceable creative genius. He was a talented painter too, well known as a watercolor artist in his teens but decided to use himself as a canvas for the past 22 years.
Last year, Hunter was interviewed and filmed by filmmaker David Capurso and since he passed away we have made it our mission to make the best documentary possible to keep his memory alive forever and to introduce him to a whole new audience who I'm sure will be as charmed by him as we all were.
A few close friends have invested in the film and we have already shot interviews and other footage but need to do more, including shooting in Mississippi and California, then there is a lot of editing and post production. With your help and David's expertise we are going to make a documentary that will stand as a lasting legacy and loving tribute.
No contribution is too small!
'Chicken Delicious lived off the kindness of strangers' and to him every stranger was a new friend.
If all of us come together for our friend, we can make this happen!
Our goal is to have the film ready to submit to the Tribeca Film Festival next year and with your help we can get it done.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! in advance for your generosity.
