CAU Members Displaced by Fire

In the early morning hours of February 3rd, a fire broke out in an apartment building on 3rd Avenue in Roselle, NJ.  It quickly spread throughout the building and in desperate haste, building residents ran outside in pajamas and slippers, without coats, valuables, and possessions.  Miraculously, no one was hurt, but the building’s tenants, including 14 individuals with developmental disabilities supported by Community Access Unlimited , lost everything they own.

To help restore their lives, we're currently seeking monetary donations and gift cards (preferably for Walmart, Target, TJMaxx, or Marshalls) and non-perishable food and personal items to meet their immediate and long-term needs which include shelter, food, household items, medical equipment, and more.

Donations are being collected at our Main Office at 80 West Grand St., Elizabeth, NJ between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM weekdays.

More information regarding Community Access Unlimited (CAU) can be found on our website at ww.caunj.org.  If you have additional questions, please contact us.
