Cycle for Change

In three months time, I will embark on the biggest adventure of my life. With nothing more than a bicycle and the necessities I can bear, I will traverse nearly 4,500 miles through the belly of the United States.
Inspired by circumstance and driven by a necessity to create change, I will travel from New York to Oregon with a message of encouragement about contingency. In our lifetime, we will experience a world totally changed by the impacts of our race. Sea levels will rise, disasters will strike, and communities will be reformed. The challenges we face are beyond anything we have known before and it is entirely up to us to solve them.
The purpose of my journey is thus twofold:
1) To undergo a personal transformation,
2) To encourage positive social and environmental change along the way.
Therefore, I have dubbed this adventure
"Cycle for Change."
The theme of this trip is change. Climate change, social change, personal change. In cycling across the country, I hope to exemplify the change that we can all make in an effort to reduce our impact on the planet. To contribute to something greater, I am hoping to raise $1,500 for 350.org, an environmental group that is fighting for a sustainable future. (The other $500 I will use for supplies.) By funding 350.org, you will be contributing to the frontlines of environmental justice. With your help, 350.org will provide support for the communities most affected by climate change and pursue a more sustainable world for us all.
