Bumblebees of Hope

Hi everyone, my name is Sothy and I am a nurse. My friend Joslyn is also a nurse. Together with our community, we bring you the Bumblebees of Hope.  Formerly known as the Face Mask Makers with Love. 

I have been a nurse for over 12 years.  Joslyn is a nurse of 10  years. We feel strongly and are dedicated to helping our community during this pandemic. We understand that as a community we can breathe hope to those that are in need. But we need your help to make it happen.

We are based in Elk Grove and Natomas, CA; essentially the Sacramento region. Our goal is to help healthcare professionals as well as community members in our area to obtain handmade cloth masks, face shields, and possibly N95 shield covers. 

We have access to a Computer Numerical Control machine, CNC that can laser cut our fabric to get to our sewing team faster. It also has the capability to cut plastic for face shields and much much more. We have access to multiple 3D printers to help print shared prototypes of N95 covers and face shields.

Any funds received will be allocated towards supplies and the needs of the team i.e. plastic, foam, adhesive, fabric, elastic, gas money, face shields, masks etc.
