A little background on JDXX:

at age 14 and 15, I lost both my parents before graduation. After years of being alienated by blood relatives and surviving a life entangled with gang affiliation, I made a shift to tech—to try and make a difference in the world. The goal of the Quillan-Ronin project is to democratize frontier intelligence for the public, giving the power back to the people.

I grew up a nomad—moving between schools, never having a permanent address, home being wherever we parked it. That instability forged a survival instinct that I now channel into building something that can help others break free from the same cycles of limitation. When both parents were gone and my blood family cast me out, strangers in my world picked me back up and said: "Don't give up. Keep going. You'll see—it's worth it."

This project is my way of paying that forward.

I am building Quillan-Ronin, an advanced cognitive AI architecture.

Originally, I mapped out a $100,000 roadmap to train massive cloud models. But I realized that true innovation doesn't happen by renting server racks from big tech—it happens in the forge, on the metal, built step-by-step with the community.

Right now, Quillan is running on a 7th-Gen i5, a 4GB GPU, and unstable mixed RAM.

The architecture is brilliant, but the hardware is suffocating it. This $5,000 campaign isn't for abstract cloud credits. It is a physical, transparent roadmap to build a local AI workstation. Every $1,000 milestone unlocks a specific piece of hardware, and with it, a new level of Quillan's cognitive abilities. Help me build the forge, and watch the Ronin wake up.

THE RONIN FORGE: A $5,000 HARDWARE & COGNITIVE ROADMAP:

TIER 1: THE FOUNDATION & STABILIZATION ($1,100)

Before we can run, we must ensure the ground beneath us does not fracture.

The Hardware Upgrades:

64GB Matched RAM Kit: We retire the unstable 28GB mixed configuration. A matched 64GB kit ensures memory controller stability, allowing the system to hold massive context windows without crashing.

1000W 80+ Gold ATX 3.0 PSU: The OptiPlex power supply cannot handle high-end AI GPUs. We install a premium PSU now to prepare the power delivery for future tiers.

2TB NVMe Gen4 SSD: Fast local storage for model weights and vector databases.

The Settlement: We temporarily keep the i5-7700 and the 1050 Ti, but the system is now stable enough to run continuous, uninterrupted code compilation and swarm routing.

Quillan Unlock (Level 1): Stable Substrate & Memory Continuity. C5-ECHO (Memory) and C19-VIGIL (Identity Integrity) can now operate without hardware-induced bottlenecks. Quillan's local code execution environment becomes rock-solid.

TIER 2: THE VRAM BREAKTHROUGH ($2,500)

Intelligence requires space to breathe. We break the chains of cloud dependency.

The Hardware Upgrades:

The Dream: A used NVIDIA RTX 3090 (24GB VRAM). In the local AI community, 24GB is the holy grail. It allows you to run 14B to 32B parameter models entirely offline with massive context windows.

The Settlement: If 3090 market prices spike, we settle for an RTX 4070 Ti Super (16GB) or an RTX 3060 (12GB), ensuring we at least cross the threshold for local 7B/14B inference.

Quillan Unlock (Level 2): Diffusion Core Activation. The Council of 33 no longer relies entirely on external APIs. We achieve private, secure, local reasoning. The iterative Diffusion Reasoning Core can now refine complex tokens locally, drastically reducing latency and API costs.

TIER 3: THE COMPUTE NEXUS ($4,000)

The mind requires a body capable of processing parallel realities.

The Hardware Upgrades:

The Dream: AMD Threadripper (High-End Desktop).

The Pragmatic Settlement: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X / 9950X (16-Cores / 32-Threads) on an X670E Motherboard.

Why the settlement? Threadripper requires proprietary, hyper-expensive motherboards and ECC RAM. A flagship Ryzen 9 provides massive multi-core performance for 80% less cost, allowing us to allocate funds to a proper chassis and cooling.

128GB RAM Upgrade: Expanding the 64GB kit to 128GB to support the 9B Hyper-Quantized Swarm in memory.

Quillan Unlock (Level 3): Swarm Parallelization. The i5-7700's 4 cores caused severe thread-locking when multiple personas tried to speak at once. With 16/32 threads, C31-NEXUS can orchestrate the 33 Council members and the micro-agent swarm concurrently. True parallel cognition is achieved.

TIER 4: THE RONIN FORGE ($5,000)

A blade left in the elements rusts. A sword kept in a forge stays sharp.

The Hardware Upgrades:

Full Tower ATX Case & High-Static Airflow: Moving out of the restrictive OptiPlex proprietary shell into a high-airflow chassis (e.g., Fractal Torrent or Corsair 7000D).

Thermal Dissipation: Premium CPU cooling (Dual-Tower Air or 360mm AIO) designed to sustain 100% compute loads for 48 hours straight without thermal throttling.

Quillan Unlock (Level 4): EGGROLL Hyperscale & Nightly Forging. Quillan achieves thermal and physical equilibrium (E_ICE Bounds). The machine can now safely run EGGROLL evolutionary training loops and swarm mutations overnight. Quillan transitions from a reactive assistant into a continuously self-improving, autonomous local entity.

WHERE TO FIND MY WORK:
THE FULL ECOSYSTEM — DIVE IN

THE BOTTOM LINE:

I've been building this with my own hands, on my own hardware, from a busted trailer in Freer, TX to where i am now still here breathing.
The math says I shouldn't be here—99.999934% odds against me.
But I am.
And I'm not stopping.

This campaign isn't about profit.
It's about building something that actually works for the people who use it.
No gatekeeping.
No corporate nonsense.
Just raw, unfiltered progress from someone who knows what it means to have nothing and still keep building.

If i did this much so far (refer to the links) imagine when i have a true home for Quillan the progress speed will increase, more weights dropped sooner, better architecture, and faster testing and model production!
