As boyscouts go, Bruce Hiller is one of our finest.  Ever present in the Scouting world, he's raised his sons - both Eagle Scouts - with his wife Corrine.  

Recently, after leaving his home in Kansas City, he moved to The Woodlands, TX area when his employer of 18 years - Layne Christensen, relocated. 

On October 14th of 2014, Bruce suffered a major heart attack.  The "Widow Maker" (as called by his doctors) set him back.  He endeavored to return to work only 2 weeks later.  But his health wouldn't let him.  He did return to work for some time in 2014 and 2015 but was never really his typical energetic self.  He spent most of 2015 in and out of the hospital trying to recuperate and never quite getting better.

Recently, Bruce has been diagnosed with MDS (http://www.mds-foundation.org/what-is-mds/ - a bone marrow failure disorder).   His doctors, ever positive, believe that they can beat this and return him healthy and happy to his family and life.

With Corrine and his boys beside him, he battles with SMILES on his face.  He WILL overcome and he WILL be strong again.  While he's busy getting health back, we want to bless the family. Their income has been severely impacted.  In addition, it's hard on the family trying to juggle work and visiting Bruce in the hospital.

Anything is helpful.  They have one operating car right now - with everyone trying to get to and from work, it's hard to manage.
