Brothers In Arms Guide Service

"Therapy Through Sportsmanship." That's the motto of Brothers In Arms Guide Service, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping servicemembers and Veterans reengage with their communites and with nature.

Our goal is to foster a supportive atmosphere for active and retired military personnel by enabling them to enjoy outdoor activities. Currently we provide opportunities for open water and ice fishing, and duck, pheasant, and deer hunting.  Out in nature, we can also be an ear for our Vets. After all, hunting and fishing is as much about the experience as the catch.

The Twin Cities chapter of Brothers In Arms Guide Service was started by a small group of friends and Veterans, volunteering their time, experience, and equipment to help other servicemembers enjoy Minnesota's finest pasttime. The reason we are seeking donations is so that we can grow to provide a better experience to more Veterans and servicemembers. We would like to be able to provide licenses and accessible equipment to the people we take hunting and fishing if they don't already have those things themselves.

Currently, all the equipment we're using is our own, and frankly, a lot of it has seen better days. We do what we can to provide a good experience, but after license fees, and the little things that keep a day running smoothly (such as gas, bait, shells, and food), there's not anything left for new gear. We would like to expand our collection of rods and gear, and upgrade some of our equipment so we can support outings for more people, and also offer the same opportunities to disabled Vets that we do everyone else.

Whether you're able to donate or can just spread the word, all of us here at Brothers In Arms would like to thank you for your time and consideration of our efforts to help the Men and Women that fought so bravely for our country.
