Hi Everyone,

The first week of August we discovered a lump on Brooklyn’s left hind flank, the size of a dime, and immediately scheduled a vet appointment. Over the month of August, while waiting for vet appointment availability and test results to come back, the lump has grown to the size of a peach pit.

Blood tests and mass samples confirm this is a “Mast Cell Tumor” (MCT) that needs to be removed.

Due to the size of the tumor and the rate at which it has grown, we are meeting with a specialist to remove it. Once removed they will need to do a biopsy on the tumor to determine what grade of MCT it is. Fingers crossed it is a low-grade one which means that removing the tumor solved the problem.

The costs of these doctors appointments and surgery has caught us at a vulnerable time. Living through a pandemic with no end in sight has cut our household income in half, so we’re asking for your help!

Any amount you can give at all would be sincerely appreciated. We are going to do everything we can to make sure BK stays healthy and safe.
