******UPDATE: I would like to extend my gratitude to all who have donated to and shared our gofundme campaign. You all have played a major part in my sister, Brittany White's, homegoing. And for your generosity, we will forever be thankful. Now that she is finally laid to rest, we would like ask that we keep this gofundme going as my mother, Tamekia Taylor, my aunt Carla Hayes, and the rest of my family are fighting for custody of Brittany's two baby girls (and my nieces), Julianna and Journei. My name is Jazmine. My sister Brittany was 24 years old and was the victim of domestic violence on January 11th, 2018. She was my best friend. Currently, my family and I are fighting and petitioning for sole custody of Julianna, 3 yrs, and Journei, 3 mos, who were both in the home during this tragic shooting. (One who sadly witnessed this.)
The state of North Carolina is not realeasing Brittany's children to us, her family.
***This GoFundMe was not only to raise money for my sister's funeral arrangements, but to also pay for legal, court, and attorney fees in order to petition the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina Courthouse and Child Protective Services. We want to gain custody of her two baby girls. It's already enough to lose my sister. I can't lose my nieces too. Please Help.
