Sydney was severely injured when a firearm was accidentally discharged in her Moses Lake home on Wednesday evening August 9th, 2017. Initially treated at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, Sydney was later transported by air to Harborview hospital in Seattle and eventually to the University of Washington hospital where she remains to be treated.
In surgery at the time of this post, our thoughts and prayers are with Sydney, her husband Jose and their precious 4 month old son Kaysen. Also in our prayers are Sydney and Jose’s immediate and extended family members to include the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, where Jose is employed as a deputy sheriff.
Sydney and her family face the serious possibility of an extended stay in the Seattle area with the potential for additional surgeries. They NEED our help. The expenses that come with any extended and unanticipated stay away from home can rack up easily and have a devastating effect on ones future. Beyond the physical effects of such a tragedy, the stresses can become overwhelming and take a toll emotionally.
