My father suffered a heart attack yesterday and died at only 58 years old. He was a wonderful and loving man, and he will be missed by many. A few years ago, my dad moved to the Philippines, a country he had fallen in love with during his time in the Navy. He spent his last days there doing what he did best, helping people. Our family wants to have daddy cremated, and bring him home to the United states where he belongs. We simply do not have the money to do this. Currently, he has been embalmed, and his recent girlfriend plans to bury him there if I can not bring him home within 5 days. He has no family there. I have spoken with the American embassy in the Philippines, and they are willing to coordinate cremation and shipping of his ashes to me, which is the cheapest way we can handle this since I am unable to leave the country as I have a medically fragile child whom I can not leave. We must come up with the funds first. Our family appreciates any help that you might give, and the outpouring of love from my dad's friends. Your kind words are keeping me going.
