Help with excess medical cost for Belle Cheri Howell!

All donations are going toward covering the cost of gas from traveling 1.5 hr to Charlotte and back equal to about $30 a day. donations will also help pay for the cost of home preparation/renovation I expected to have done and paid for by Belles original due date ($5000 +) finally donations will help cover any medical cost or expense not covered by insurance $6542…so far.God bless.

Belle Cheri Howell made her entrance into the world Oct. 31st, 2024. Our Christmas baby (due Dec. 25th) decided she would rather be a Halloween baby. My wife, Caitlin, went into early labor that afternoon and before we knew what was happening Belle was on her way and we were told we were going to be rushed from Cleveland County Hospital to Atrium Health Pineville.

While preparations were being made to transport Caitlin to Pineville via ambulance (and I was getting her a slushee) Belle decided it was go time. I rushed to Atrium as soon as I got the call to find that Caitlin and newly born Belle Cheri were being airlifted to us. Our baby girl has a flair for the dramatic, making her grand entrance 3 days before her big brothers' birthday at 11:02 Halloween night weighing in at 4lbs 10oz.

Endless gratitude to the amazing team at Cleveland County Hospital for providing support and care to the love of my life during the birth of our second child and to the team that rushed them to Pineville via helicopter.

Belle has the strength of all of her family before her and is thriving in the NICU at Atrium Health Pineville and will be there for the foreseeable future. We have a long journey ahead of us but we are so thankful for our miracle and cannot wait for the day we can bring her home. We are currently traveling 140 miles 6 days a week to visit our tiny bundle of hope and strength.

My name is Troy Howell, I am a small business owner located in Forest City, NC. My son, Wolf Shane, saved my life and my daughter, Belle Cheri, has ignited a burning inferno of love and pride within me. God gave us Belle 2 months early for a reason. My children are my purpose in life. My pride and love for my family is immeasurable, but I know we can't do this alone.

The average cost of being airlifted in North Carolina is between $12,000-$25,000 USD. The average cost per day in the NICU in the US is between $3,000-$20,000 USD. We are traveling about 840 miles each week to be with our little girl and will continue to do so until she is home with her family. We are fortunate enough to have an absolutely amazing support system behind us; as well as my career that allows me to take the time I need to be there for my family and the medical insurance that has helped lift some of the weight off of our shoulders as we make other necessary preparations.

We need help as we prepare to bring our baby girl home and complete our family. We are asking for donations, prayers, positive vibes, anything helps. Donations will go toward travel expenses, medical bills, and purchasing preemie diapers and clothes. Any bit of support is greatly appreciated.

Finally home, Belle grow stronger every day but she still needs those hopes and prayers that have gotten for her this far. Wolf is and amazing big brother and Caitlin has turned into a SuperBearHulkMon and rampages with purpose. I’m a crumpled mess in the corner, but the family is whole again; life is good.
