Bright-Light for Parkinson’s
Donation protected
It has been seven years this month that I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. My world changed that day, never to be the same again. How was I going to navigate my life after such a diagnosis? After the initial shock, I got into action researching how to fight the symptoms of the disease. According to the research, exercise is crucial, as important as the medications.
This is a pilot program for Parkinson’s Disease. Due to Covid many have not been able to attend Parkinson’s exercise classes, which has a detrimental effect on many of us. After hopefully acquiring one these bikes myself I intend to be partnering with our local PD communities to help aid in supplying those at home with stationary specialized Theracycle bikes, especially for those of lower income. Bright Light for PD will be formalized in the coming months as 501c3 so we can do an annual drive. Hopefully get dozen of these bikes out in our communities. Many cannot afford such a vital therapy due to costs.
Thanks to all who can contribute. We are deeply grateful. Wishing much Love and especially Good Heath in the coming year.
