Baby Briella’s Journey

Hi everyone! Meet Briella! She was born a little early on 1-18-19. Such a beautiful blessing. Unfortunately, Briella was born with a couple defects in her heart, no spleen, a malformed small bowel, a defect in her diaphragm and her stomach and liver in her chest cavity. She’s is currently being cared for at Children’s Hospital of Detroit. We are praying and waiting patiently for her to be healthy enough for surgery to fix her diaphragm bowels and stomach so she can finally eat! After healing and gaining a little more strength she will need her first heart surgery at just a couple months old and her second and third down the road. I’m reaching out because we need help. I am unable to work because of my c-section and Aaron is currently laid off. He is receiving unemployment but that doesn’t even pay our rent. We have our household bills adding up. Rent for the Ronald McDonald house which our family has helped us with this month. And everyday expenses living away from the house. We’re a little embarrassed but we didn’t plan for this...I don’t think anyone does. Somehow all of these defects were overlooked on ultrasound and thrown at us shortly after her birth. The doctors say once Briella comes home from the hospital she will have 2-4 visits a week. This will be nearly impossible without a vehicle. We currently have one vehicle a 1994 Ford Ranger that Aaron drives to work and we know isn’t going to last forever. We cannot afford a car payment. Aaron will be the only one able to work due to Briellas health. We will be forever grateful for any amount you are able to help us with. We know not everyone is able to help and we understand.
