Family Home Lost to FIRE :(

***Single mother of two is picking up the pieces after her house was destroyed by a fire shortly before Easter weekend in Houston area***

“We’re blessed beyond belief to have been woken in time. It could have been a lot worse.”
-Bridget Collins

As many of you know, Bridget and her two children, Cheyenne and Robert, recently lost their rental home in a devastating fire near Galveston, TX. While the family was thankfully not injured by this fire, they lost everything except the pajamas they were wearing and a load of clothes in the dryer. Thankfully they escaped after waking to desperate knocks and cries of concerned neighbors. (Love you neighbors!!!)
Tragically, this is the second time this young family has lost everything. They lost their home previously during hurricane Ike and now a fire has taken their belongings once again. We are all just so grateful they’re alive but my heart can’t help but notice their misfortune. After seven years of rebuilding they have to start from scratch again. This fund will help them obtain the basic necessities to start to rebuild their lives.
Despite everything, Bridget is still one of the strongest most optimistic people I know! Being her sister is an honor. She really would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Her unfailing strength and faith keeps my beautiful niece and nephew smiling and strong too. On behalf of my sister, I'm asking that we do everything possible to help this family out as they would do for us. If it falls on your heart to do so, a donation of just one dollar will add up and maybe we can help them back on their feet faster. Money certainly won't heal everything, but we can try to help them recover some of what they have lost. Your generosity is deeply appreciated during this troubling time as they work through the process of loss and recovery.
Thanks to everyone already for your kindness, prayers, and offers of help.
