Brian Sullivan's recovery to home
Donation protected
On November 21, Brian fell asleep at the wheel while driving to check on his mom, resulting in a tragic accident and a major debilitating spinal cord injury. This injury has resulted in quadriplegic paralysis (no use of legs/hands/arms). Since then he has had surgeries, rehab, more surgery with ICU stay and is now working to get back to rehab with a goal of working and living back on his own with the aid of assistive technology, personal care assistance and other adaptive technology. Brian is facing many astronomical expenses...power wheelchair, special bed, lifts, adapted vehicle, skilled staffing, etc. As he sets his sights on pain management, recovery and rehab, the expenses looming that will allow him to step in to his 'new-normal' are constantly on his mind.
Brian intends to be independent, return to work and be self supporting. Those who know Brian well know he is exceedingly driven. He has already been told by some that his future is living in a nursing home - only feeding his determination to succeed. He needs major funding support to get to that point.
Brian knows I am creating this fund. It is so critical to him that this week - while intubated in the ICU on ventilator support after another spinal surgery - he used communication technology to ask me to establish this fund on his behalf. He has great hope and great plans for the future. He needs to know he has the financial support behind him to make this happen.
Please provide as much support as you can and please forward this to anybody you know who may be willing to help!
Brian has appointed someone to manage his funds under his direction. Your gift is made available to Brian and his appointee immediately to take care of Brian's many current expenses of care.
