Brian's Battle with ALL
Donation protected
Brian Brungardt, our brother and friend, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He is currently in the Aurora Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, undergoing chemotherapy in preparation for a stem cell transplant. While he had very little warning that he was ill and he has repeatedly been hit with bad news, he has demonstrated the fighting spirit and attitude that we all know to be the very core of Brian's personality.
Brian is facing a long and tough battle; consequently he will gladly accept any and all prayers. He will be in the hospital for at least a month to allow the chemo to put the disease into remission. After that, he will undergo a stem cell transplant which will require more hospital time which is time away from home and work. Very soon, Kristy, Brian's girlfriend, will have to return to their home in Bison so she can return to work. She will return to be by Brian's side on the weekends.
Brian has a daughter, Amanda, who lives in the Denver area and goes to visit her dad as much as she can. He also has two sons, Josh and Adam, who live, go to school, and work in the Hays area. They are holding down the fort for their father while he is recovering.
In order for the family to meet ever-increasing bills, it has been suggested that we set up a Gofundme Account to help pay medical, travel, and living expenses while Brian is fighting this disease. The help will certainly free Brian's mind somewhat so he can focus on this challenge, and anybody who knows Brian also knows he would be the first in line to help others in any way he could. In fact, he has shown more concern for his family and friends than he has for himself since his ordeal began just a week ago.
If you can make a donation, we sincerely appreciate it. If not, when you get on your knees to talk to God tonight and every night for a while, please remember to mention Brian. Please share!
