Brenna Marquez Covington Memorial
Donation protected
The Marquez and Covington families have recently experienced an unfathomable tragedy. Earlier this week, 26 year old Brenna Marquez Covington unexpectantly passed into heaven to be with the Lord. While sleeping at home, she went into cardiac arrest which caused a temporary lack of oxygen to her brain. Thousands of people prayed without ceasing for her brain to miraculously heal. Brenna fought hard until the very end, but ultimately heaven needed another angel and she passed away peacefully in the hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Brenna was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and so much more to so many people. But her most cherished role in life was being a mother. Brenna leaves behind a beautiful 7-month-old baby girl named Kaia whom she adored and loved with every fiber of her being.
Brenna was a devout Christian who gave heart to the Lord a number of years ago. Since then, she has brought many others to the church. She was an inspiring young woman with so much potential for a lifetime of serving Christ and helping others. In the spirit of Brenna's desire to help others, her organs will be donated to save the lives of those in need.
As you can imagine, no one could have envisioned that this vibrant young mother would be taken from this life so suddenly. The medical staff at Mission Hospital worked tirelessly to save Brenna during a week stay in the ICU, and unfortunately that level of care does not come without a cost. In order to help the families with these unexpected costs that they have incurred, we are reaching out for donations. The Marquez and Covington families would appreciate any and all donations to go towards medical expenses and proper burial arrangements for Brenna. No donation is too small.
Thank you.
And to Brenna, we know you can hear our prayers. We miss you more than words can describe and our hearts are aching, but we have peace and comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye, just see you later. For now, we will embrace your spirit through the blessing you left us on Earth, Kaia. During this difficult time, we pray for the Lord to fill our hearts with joy, and not sorrow, because the only sorrow would be to never have known you at all. Rest in peace beautiful, you'll always be our surfer girl.
