Oh, hello there! Have you waited long enough? We know we have.

We are Breadbox Theatre, a Toronto-based theatre collective. After our debut production The Bread Cycle last year, we are producing a brand new play at the 2025 Hamilton Fringe Festival this July!

Introducing Waiting For* Godot (*Waiting for, Waiting for), which is exactly how it sounds. There will still be lots of waiting ahead, maybe less if you help us Fund our Fringe! But... we can't promise anything.

About Us:

Here at Breadbox Theatre, we make theatre for the audience. We believe in the power of escapism that theatre has and we are excited to welcome our audience to escape their world and take a step just outside of it into the chaos of ours.

By donating to Fund our Fringe, you are supporting local absurdist and surrealist theatre and helping us bring our theatrical dreams to life.

Where the Funds Go:

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and audience members in 2024, the majority of our show expenses are covered. Your donation will go towards paying for transportation, show-week costs and artist fees that support the livelihoods of our artists. A portion of the funds will be set aside for future Breadbox projects.

As a company of young artists, Breadbox Theatre is passionate about engaging and supporting the new generation of Canadian theatre artists. That is why we will be donating 15% of the total funds raised to Great Big Theatre Company, a community-based non-profit dedicated to promoting literacy and drama education for young people and families across southern Ontario. This donation will support their Summer Camp Fund which helps make arts camps accessible to low-income families.
