Operation: Save Our Father - Brandon Sharp
Donation protected
Brandon is in dire need of a new heart. Before he can be added to the heart transplant list, he must reach a certain BMI. With his medical condition as it is, exercising is almost impossible. And we all know how hard weight-loss is by diet alone. His doctors would like to perform Gastric Bypass surgery on him to help with the weight-loss process. Unfortunately, he has accrued a very large balance with the hospital. Before they are willing to do the surgery, they are asking for the 20% that will remain after Medicare has covered its portion of the surgery. After speaking with the hospital, we have determined that amount to be around $8,000 after all costs are taken into consideration.
Brandon and his wife, Angenette are raising two kids, Lauryn and Benjamyn, on a limited income. Angenette is a teacher for Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington, KY and Brandon receives a small disability payment each month. This is all they have to take care of their bills. As you can guess, very little is left over each month. Certainly not enough to take care of this balance.
So, we are coming to you, their family and friends to help with this cause. Anything that you can give would not only be appreciated by Brandon and his family, but it will also help us get him closer to having the surgery and the end goal of getting on the transplant list.
The sooner we can get this money together, the better. Brandon's physical health and mental well-being have and will continue to decline. So, the sooner we hit our goal, the better.
Any excess funds raised will be used to help with additional medical bills, travel costs to and from the hospital, regular monthly bills, etc.
