Run for Boston. Run for LLS.
Donation protected
In two days, I'm running my 6th half marathon here in DC. I've never raised money for any of these races. However, the past few weeks have inspired me to try to contribute in some way.
The events during and after the Boston Marathon impact every one of us - as Humans, Americans, as Runners. A friend who was running the Boston Marathon was impacted greatly when her father, watching her run, was critically injured in the blasts and continues to recover in the hospital after many surgeries.
A week prior to the bombing, a friend also living in Boston, Kevin Alston, was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).
Although I am not officially a part of Team in Training with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), I am running in support of Kevin, LLS, and the whole Reis family. Any donations for my run will be split between LLS and the Reis family fund (Nicole's Dad's name is John Odom).
