Borris Anthony York: Gradschool Fundraiser

Hello everyone my name is Borris Anthony York. 

I am an actor from New Orleans and I am delighted to announce that I have been accepted into the world renowned Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama,    in the UK, for my Master’s degree in Stage, Screen & Radio Acting! This is a one year Master’s program that begins this September. 


Being one of only ten students accepted out of hundreds of applicants from around the world, the Royal Welsh has produced some of today’s most well known actors including this years Academy Award Winner for Best Actor, Sir. Phillip Anthony Hopkins.


I am writing today to ask for your support in furthering my education.


Prior to the pandemic I was working in the theater industry on Broadway and in National Tours, which has all been completely shut down for the past year leaving us actor’s  completely unemployed and making saving for my Master's degree a difficult task.

As a first generation graduate student, education is extremely important to me because I am dedicated to excellence and continued learning. This past year has been filled with a lot of heartache and uncertainty, especially within the arts, however, with persistent hard work and unshakable faith I have been able to pick myself up and continue to pursue my dreams by securing a place at this prestigious institution.
