Books for Inmates
Donation protected
This year, 1200 Detroit-area men and women will spend their Christmas at the Macomb County Jail. Chaplain Steve Malek and his wife Robin are putting together Christmas Bags for each inmate, filled with small gifts: food items, candy bars, warm socks, a copy of "Our Daily Bread", and a pocket Bible.
Chaplain Steve would also like to include a copy of the book: "Bring Him to Me" - the true story of a juvenile deliquent who was incarcerated for most of his youth. At the age of 18, however, Frank Majewski gave his heart to Christ and began to share the gospel with everyone he met: hippies, bikers, drug addicts...Frank went on to become one of Detroit's most powerful evangelists during the 1970s.
As the author of "Bring Him to Me", it would be an answer to prayer if this book could be placed in the hands of inmates. How wonderful if this story could touch hearts at the Macomb County Jail!
Printing 1200 books will be quite costly, but your kind donation will allow "Bring Him to Me" to be placed in the hands of inmates by this Christmas. In order to do this, $5600 will need to be raised by November 29.
God bless you for your prayerful consideration of this worthy venture. 100% of your donation will be given to cover the cost of printing and delivery to Chaplain Steve.
We have an opportunity this year to make Christmas a life-changing event for men at the Macomb County Jail - will you help me reach this goal?
