“There are so many kids that are fighting Cancer and I know how hard that is. I want to help them smile and feel better by giving them a fun toy to play with!”
Bodie Reuter - age 7
On January 29, 2016, Bodie was diagnosed with ALL- T Cell Leukemia. Many days have gone by since hearing the words “Bodie has Cancer”, but thinking about that moment and the days that followed still brings back many raw emotions.
Bodie, overall, is doing very well! He advanced a great deal over the past year. He is doing really well in school and played baseball, football and basketball last year. He loves Legos and got a Lego table for Christmas. This kid has a very vivid imagination and it's amazing to see his little mind at work!
Bodie's Cancer regime includes two more years of daily chemotherapy medications, steroids and monthly infusions and spinal taps at Riley Children’s Hospital.
To honor the half-way point in Bodie’s fight against Cancer, he wants to hold a toy drive to give back to other kids fighting cancer at Riley and throughout Central Indiana.
