Eureka!( We might find it.) is BodiGram’s public service announcement to the people of San Francisco and the Bay Area. We have become victims of the tech takeover and the rat race it has created. Eureka!( We might find it.) gentle pokes fun of our tech addiction and work drone state through movement. It’s far from your traditional modern dance piece. We take interpretive dance to the highest level of campiness, throw in a little punk rock, and shear athleticism resulting in a humorous reminder of the importance of getting outside and back to nature.
Eureka!( We might find it.) is requires audience participation. We will feed you a little whiskey, lead you through a video installation, and ask you to change your audience position every once and a while. Be careful! You might get hit in the face with some panties, or have a dancer land in your lap.
Eureka!( We might find it.) is performed by Shannon Preto, Jordan Brooks, Shira Yaziv, Kelly Kemp, and Kristin Torok. Sound score arranged by Mike Turpen. Video installation and lighting design by Kedar Lawrence. Text and choreography created by Blair Bodie.
