Bobo's Battle




In October 2015 we as a family received the worst possible news, that my 12 year old  brother Robert (Bobo) has cancer.  He has been diagnosed with a DIPG brain tumour.  The current survival rate for this extremely rare brain tumour, found only in children, is zero percent with most children dying within 9 months from diagnosis.  However, we refuse to give up hope as Bobo is battling and currently beating all odds.  

We had hoped that the results from Bobo’s second brain biopsy would get him onto a clinical trial however the results came back negative and there is nothing that the NHS can offer him. Our only options now is looking into private treatment perhaps abroad or some alternative therapies both of which are very costly. Whilst we are all researching and desperately trying to find something to help Bobo he has created a wish list of things he would like to have and do. The last year has been a huge emotional and financial strain on the family, and the year ahead will be no different.  Any money donated would help Bobo fufill his dreams and wishes whilst taking some of the weight from our parent's shoulders.
