My family in Puerto Rico
Donation protected
My family, friends, and brothers and sisters of Puerto Rico in my hometown of Lares have been hit with a painful and shocking disaster. Wednesday marks a week since Hurricane Maria hit the island with category 4 hurricane my entire family is there, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Step Dad, nephew and newly born son (1 week old), and other family and friends with out power, running water, and stuck with no gasoline. I will be flying next Wednesday, October 4 to Puerto Rico to find them, bring them supplies, and help with brigaids of others to clean, rebuild, and support our families. I grew up in Lares, Puerto Rico for the first 4 years of my life, running around my grandma's house, eating from the land, running after chickens, and singing and laughing with them, and since then I go every year.
This year it was Rafi's first time going and not the last. Puerto is my home and where my family is. The money that will be raised will go to purchasing solar panels, generators, food, batteries, and other supplies. Extra funds will be donated to organizations trusted and that are directly working in rural areas of the island.
