Bob Sturm -Drop Your Pants 8 - September 14, 2021

Tax deductible

8 years ago, Bob Sturm, a sports radio host for 1310 The Ticket, came up with the idea of "Drop Your Pants". This annual event collects clothes for the Cornerstone Clothes Closet and Shower Facility. Due to the fact that there are still health concerns regarding public gatherings, DYP8 will once again be virtual. Since you are already on your computer working from home, just click a button and donate some cash. We will use the monies collected to purchase clothing items from wholesale vendors rather than collecting used clothing. The need for clothes at the clothes closet has not diminished, therefore this fundraiser is more important than ever. We will use the funds to purchase blue jeans, underwear, t-shirts, golf shirts, winter jackets and so much more from wholesale vendors.

Cost to give a homeless person a clean set of clothes is approximately $15.00

Case of 24 jeans $192.00

Case of 36 polo shirts $99.00

Case of 144 pr underwear $172.00

Case of 144 winter caps $216.00

Case of 12 Jackets $222.00

The generous donations from last year enabled us to purchase 2 new washers, 1 new dryer, replace a water heater, add solar air vents to the attic & fix the A/C when it broke in June, all in addition to being able to purchase the clothes and toiletries needed to keep us up and running last year.

Donations by check can be made out to "Cornerstone Baptist Church" and mailed to: 1819 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215. Please make a note in the memo line that the donations is for DYP8

Thank you to all the P1's for your generosity.
