On Monday, the Blocker family’s home was devastated by a severe storm that caused massive flooding. The water quickly rose to four feet, leaving us with extensive damage and contamination throughout our house. We lost our bedroom set, clothes, computer, furnace, and so many other essentials that we rely on every day. The shock of seeing our home in this state has been overwhelming, and we’re still coming to terms with the loss.

Right now, our most urgent needs are pumping out the contaminated water, cleaning up the damage, and finding a temporary car so we can get to work and school. We’re also trying to replace basic necessities like clothing and furniture and begin the long process of repairing our home. The support of our community means everything to us as we try to recover from this disaster. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as we work to rebuild and return to a safe, stable home for our family.
