On the night of February 1st, 2017 tragedy struck my family. In an unexplicable fiery car accident my family lost an unmatched spirit in my cousin and NYPD officer Bianca Bennett. Though my company and clothing line is not directly tied to the memoriam of Bianca, I would be remissed if I didn't say she and her story was the push I needed to get Blessed Livin started.

As I sat in that New York City church with a heavy heart, listening to countless stories of my cousin and the life she lived, there was one constant. Bianca was someone who cared for others, always gave back, and most importantly, was someone who left a tremendous LEGACY, in only 28 years of life.

We as humans have one life, and during that life we have one job. That job is to live our lives to the fullest so that during our funeral or final ceremony, we are remembered for leaving a lasting memory, lasting impression, and lasting legacy.
In a world full of so much negativity, whether that be from crime, politics, sickness, or social inequalities, I wanted my legacy to be one that changed the world.
Most people are familiar with the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his famous quote, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.", and that is my goal.

Using the outlet that I am familiar with, in fashion, I have decided to start a charity clothing line unlike any other. Blessed Livin is a line that will unite a people based on basic, universal principles of appreciating the life you have, living that life to the fullest, and during that journey lending a helping hand in anyway you can.
In 2014 the city of Flint, Michigan, by government decision, decided to switch it's main water source to a highly corrosive supply in the Flint River, in efforts to save money. Shortly after this transition, residents of Flint began experiencing discoloration and foul smelling water in their homes.

After months of investigation it was found that the Flint Michigan's water supply, due to lack of proper treatment and testing, had been infected with extremely high levels of lead causing more than 8,500 children and nearly 100,000 people in total to suffer from lead poisining and malnutrition.

It has been 3 years since tragedy struck the city of Flint, and thousands of citizens still lack adequate water to fulfill daily life functions, and we are trying to do our part in helping to change that.

It is estimated to take $1.5 billion to repair the cities, damaged distribution system and we need your help to make strides towards reaching this number.

Blessed Livin will be donating to Flint Child Health & Development Fund and 20% of our proceeds from our general collections and 75% of our Flint Michigan collection will go directly to an incredible foundation that ensures long-term change for the better in response to the water crisis.
To date, Flint Child Helath & Development Fund has raised over $18 million in gifts and has awarded $2,624,700 in grants, but this is NOT enough.
On top of our proceeds, our Blessed Livin team of 6 will be traveling to Flint, Michigan to help donate cases of water, supplies and a helping hand to those STILL affected by the Flint Water Crisis.
As of right now, we have gotten tremendous response from our initial t-shirt designs, but we are hoping to raise just $5,000 to help us fund our initial service trip to Michigan and purchases water and supplies for the citizens of Flint.

Be apart of the light that drives out darkness, be apart of the love that drives out hate, and most importanly, be a part of leaving a leagacy
