RoboDoc Medical School Fund

Donation protected
I am starting Medical School in July 2015 at Texas Tech Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas.  I am seeking financial support to help me through school.

Why am I different from any other medical school student?

I will learn and develop different techniques with the use of a prosthetic arm to help me become an exceptional physician.  I have only recently learned how to use a bionic arm.  Here is..."My story".

My story:

I lost my arm after a car accident in May 2012.  This happened two days after I completed my second year of dental school in San Antonio, Texas.   After my arm was amputated, I made the decision to complete my studies in dentistry and began to work towards completing my goal.

I passed the dental boards two months later and spent the next six months rehabilitating and being fitted with the prosthetic arm. In January 2013, I returned to dental school.

Although I progressed through the many challenges of dentistry, I decided to step away from dentistry and pursue a career in medicine.

Not only do I feel that a career in medicine would allow me to utilize my full potential, but I also feel that the experiences I went through to return to normal daily living gives me a true and unique perspective that will relate to each of my future patients.  Medicine will allow me to develop and leverage my talents and love for science.

Financial support will allow me to focus on my studies and the tremendous physical challenges that await me.

There are two ways you can help:

(1.) Spread the word through your network (email, mail, phone, and texts) and through social media (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram)

(2.) Donate if you can, no matter how small or how large your donation is.  Your kindness will help me reach my aspirations.

How does the requested funds break-down:

The funds will help cover the accrued dental school loans, medical school tuition and fees, and living expenses.

This is less what will be provided by the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.
