Bill Runge Memorial Bench @ Rainbow

Donation protected
Bill Runge passed away on April 30, 2011.  He was only 62.  He loved the Whistler lifestyle and came to live and work in Whistler in the early 1980s.  He built a home in Tapleys Farm on Easy Street and worked for Whistler Blackcomb in the Print Shop for over 30 years.

Bill was an avid skiier and in the summer he enjoyed a swim almost every afternoon in Alta Lake off Rainbow Beach.

I had always wanted to have some of his ashes placed beneath a memorial bench at Rainbow Park where he would swim and sit to dry off afterwards as he enjoyed the view of his beloved mountains.  Unfortunately, shortly after he passed away a cost of $3000 was put into place for each memorial bench.

Please help me raise the funds to finally get this Memorial Bench for one of Whistler's favorite long time locals and extraordinarily kind people at this popular spot.  A place where we can all sit and remember Bill while enjoying the summer's views of the Mountains.

Any amount of donation you can afford will help to go towards the cost of this Memorial Bench.  I am hoping to raise the $3000 required before the anniversary of his death (April 30) so that we can have the bench in place this summer.

Please consider sharing this link amongst Bill's family, friends and colleagues to make sure that everyone has a chance to contribute.  Please.  I appreciate your kind thoughts.

Thank you
