Mike is only 35 years old. Mike had a light heart attack 7 years ago. On January 26th he had a Major stroke landing him in the hospital. He has had 3 more mini strokes while in the hospital. He has not awakened and has been non-responsive but the Doctors are hopeful there is potential for recovery.
He has a beautiful daughter, age 8, who needs him. His family wants to care for him and help to nurse him back to health but Mike needs 24 hour care, and medical costs are daunting!
Michael’s stroke affected him severely. His stroke happened on the right side (quite a large bleed) due to high blood pressure. He had to have a tracheostomy and feeding tube put in on Monday February 15th. It has been so hard to see our happy, energetic, confident Mike now laying in the hospital-bedridden.
It feels like our entire world is crashing down. We wonder and worry if Mike will ever be able to dance with his 8-year-old daughter again, which they always did. Please Watch Video!

The day we were called in to discuss with the Doctors & Staff, I was not surprised to learn that Mike had not given up and is fighting. No matter what obstacles have happened, Mike has always found a way to push through! Michael has always been our rock in the family someone who his daughter could rely on and look up to. Seeing him like this is heartbreaking. Our Michael is very strong, very passionate and driven in all he does, never letting an obstacle stop him.
Mike is only 35 and he still has plans for the future. He has a loving wife of 9 years and 1 stepson Jalen. Jalen is 18 and for over ten years Michael has been there to love and guide him into a young man. His daughter needs her daddy and family to stay strong and to come through and ensure her needs are met.

Michael's mother is a widow of 4 children and the family lost their dad to cancer when Michael and his two younger brothers & beautiful older sister were young teens! So Michael has been the leader of the family. He has two young nieces, two nephews, and a very close-knit family who love him beyond words.
This is going to be a long and slow process but we believe that Mike will push through it all.
Michael is the only one with income in the home since Covid 19. Recovery will be costly and the journey long!
