Anyone who knows Evan could easily predict that he'll fight like hell, so it's not surprising that he started chemotherapy the very next day. Treatment is being received at Hackensack University Medical Center. Over the course of the last several weeks, he has undergone many blood transfusions and 2 bone marrow biopsies. Just wrapping up his second round of chemotherapy, Evan is still slated to return home on August 28th, where he will continue treatment.
While Evan does have medical insurance, it won't cover everything. Additionally, there's an astounding amount of affiliated costs that go along with undergoing medical treatment of this severity. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Stay tuned for bone marrow donor registration drives to be hosted locally. Our man does need a bone marrow transplant and YOU could be the match! All events and fundraising information, as well as health updates, will be posted on this page, so check back soon.
If there's one thing that Evan Doucette is known for, it's being a great friend. Any time that any one has needed any thing, Evan has been there. Big Ev's got a Big Battle, and you can help. Every dollar counts.
