The Heart Behind the Mission

This fund is inspired by our dog, Bear. When we first saw a photo of a blind puppy abandoned at a shelter, we didn't see a "challenge"—we saw our future family member. Bear has spent every day since proving that you don’t need sight to feel, or give, limitless love.

However, we know that for many families, the perceived "extra" that comes with a special needs pet can feel overwhelming. By sponsoring adoption fees, we want to make it a little easier for the right family to say "yes" to an extraordinary pet that might otherwise be overlooked.

How It Works: More Than Just a Sponsor

We keep our eyes open for special needs animals across various shelters and rescues who are struggling to find their match.

• Sponsor: We use these funds to pay their adoption fee in full, removing the financial barrier for their future family.

• Advocate: Paying the fee is just the beginning. Once a pet is sponsored, we feature them on our social media pages (@BigBlindBear). We share their photos, their unique personalities, and their specific needs to give them the spotlight they deserve.

• Support: We stay involved by sharing their story until that animal is officially in a forever home.

1. We will post an update on this page and our social media so you can see exactly which animal your donation helped.

2. We will share their journey from "sponsored" to "adopted," so you can celebrate the moment they finally head home.

100% of your contribution goes directly toward these adoption fees. Whether it’s a blind puppy, a deaf senior, or a "tripawd" looking for a couch to call their own, your donation is the bridge between a shelter cage and a loving family.
