Fireman Big Al Bailey's Cancer Fight

There are situations in life when even our own family members are in need of help. I am starting this Gofundme page to assist with some of the unforeseen financial burden and associated medical costs that was suddenly placed upon my Brother, and his Family. Recently Al was diagnosed with cancer in his liver, spleen, lungs, pancreas and abdomen. For many years Al has worked as a City of San Bernardino Firefighter, doing what Firefighters do daily, responding to people he didn’t even know, assisting them in their time of crisis. Al did this unselfishly for approximately 30 years. Being a firefighter can be extremely dangerous, firefighters usually go in a building when others are running out. After 30 years of service, Al had to retire due to multiple injuries sustained while on duty protecting those he swore to serve and protect. Due to Al’s diagnosis, his wife and 2 daughters had to temporarily take leave of absences from their jobs to assist with his care and immediate medical needs. We all understand that in today’s world, medical bills can be astronomical to sustain ongoing care.  Al has always been “there” for anyone, whether he knew them personally, or it just happened be someone he crossed paths with on duty as a Firefighter. As his Brother, I have never heard one person say a negative word when they speak of Al. From my view Al has always had everyone’s back, so it’s time we have his.    Thank you, Big Al’s Family
