My name is Aaron Thompson.  I am musician, composer and artist living with my wife and four kids in Fair Oaks/
Sacramento California.     I direct music for St. Mel Catholic Church in Fair Oaks. 

This year has been hard for all of us.  Amid a constant stream of bad news, I noticed that essential workers and first responders  bravely labor and continue to serve our communities amid pandemic, unrest, and natural disasters.  They are like angels.    

While waiting in a grocery store hoping to find toilet paper, I began to wonder; "where is the hope"? 
Pacing the floor and watching the news, I thought; "What can I do"?

It came to me in May, "Your a composer, write something", and so I did.  "Better Angels"is a Christmas album for 2020 and grass-roots project to deliver 1000 Holiday cds  along with baked goods.  Volunteers will be deliver gifts to first responders and essential workers in the Sacramento area October 21 - November 2020.      If your tired of hearing bad news, if you need to say thank you, join me.     
Below is an early sketch of the cover artwork, I had the opportunity to work with an artist living in Greece. 
This album was recorded in my bedroom recording studio.  I used my closet as a recording booth, and for some reason this fit perfectly during 2020.   Better Angels album features 8 tracks, including 3 original Christmas songs and a special Christmas story for the children.  I hope the music will bring joy and become family favorite.

For me, 2020 has been an opportunity to grow and a confirmation of what I have long suspected;  there are many things beyond our control, but we can choose how we respond, we can choose to be grateful.

over the world, and to finding common ground.
