Help for Beth

Donation protected
On Friday August 12, 2016, my sister Beth McCorkle went in for a simple outpatient hernia repair. She ended up in the emergency room later that day because she was in a great deal of pain and was kept overnight for observation. The next day, the hospital performed a CAT scan and realized she had suffered a perforated bowel during the surgery. Emergency surgery was performed that night. Beth has been in ICU since then.

This past month has been very difficult for Beth. She has had multiple setbacks including multiple infections from the surgery. She is on a ventilator to help her breathe and her kidneys are not working, so she is on dialysis.  Anyone that knows Beth can attest that she is a strong woman and is fighting as hard as she can. We are taking it one day at a time; as her her recovery is requiring an extensive hospitalization. Please continue to pray for Beth.

Beth loves animals! She has two dogs at home, Callie and Chewy, which she loves dearly. They miss her very much. She is a volunteer at Adopt an Angel where she helps find loving homes for animals in need. She also attends and volunteers at Port City Community Church. Beth is a very kind and loyal friend and always lends a hand to anyone in need. Now she needs a helping hand.

Beth will celebrate her 47th birthday on September 16 in ICU. Over these past 4 weeks, life has continued outside of the ICU. Her bills are piling up and our family can’t afford to cover all her expenses. We are asking for help to pay for her medical needs, Beth’s household needs, and care for Callie and Chewy. When Beth recovers, the last thing we want for her to worry about is tons of medical bills and potentially losing everything for which she has worked her entire life.

As her sister, I am asking for help for her. Please continue to pray for Beth and anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
