Help Betchay Fight Cancer

First and foremost thank you for taking the time to visit and view this page.

My mom Elizabeth aka Beth or Betchay is the most selfless human you’ll ever know. You can really see her happiest moments when she is surrounded by the things and people she loves most. To say that she’s obsessed with BTS is an understatement. You can find her at all the BTS concerts. She is an army fan for life. She’s also an incredible cook. She’s courageous and in many ways I still look up to her. If you’ve known me since my adolescent years then, I’m sure you’ve met my mom at some point and time to know how loving and wonderful she truly is. She has made an everlasting impact with anyone she has crossed paths with. She is not only beautiful inside and out, but is never afraid to speak her mind, and she’s always looking out for your best interest. My mom is the most hard working person ever. She worries about her loved ones before she worries about herself. She is an amazing grandmother to my two daughters, and she is our backbone. She is the glue to our family. She tackles every obstacle that gets thrown at her with smile and grace. From her own words she says “ I find my happiness in you guys “. She is a warrior to say the least.

In 2015 my mom was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. She had to undergo surgery for a bi lateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy to remove the cancer and to decrease, but not eliminate, the chances of the cancer to accrue in the future.

At the end of last year, my mom started to notice pain near her armpits and as time went by it, became more uncomfortable for her to bare. She had scheduled a biopsy in December but shortly after had to postpone it due to my grandma’s health aggressively declining. She then flew to the Philippines to be with my grandma for two months and took care of her. As soon as she got back she scheduled her biopsy.

A couple weeks ago she had her biopsy done along with an MRI and PET scan. As we anxiously waited weeks for results after each treatment we were given the news that she has stage 3 breast cancer recurrence. Her chemo port was put in last week. She is now scheduled to have her first round of chemotherapy May 1st of 2023.

Although she has a long road ahead, a lot of her medical bills have already started to rack up and there is only so much my family can help alleviate and pay for. She will soon leave work once she starts her treatment and it will be financially tough to catch up on rent, bills, medical bills, medications and other expenses related to her recovery.

I created this go fund me in hopes that you can help spread the word with us, keep my mom and family in your prayers, give us advice, or any resources you may know of, and if you find it in your heart to donate any amount we truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. It’s always the little things that matter and trust me, any bit of help will alleviate the financial stress and help us tremendously with my moms road to recovery.

Again we thank you a ton for just being here and we will keep you updated on her road to recovery. May god bless you all.
