Help Support Our Family In Dad's Fight Against COVID

Dear Family and Friends,

 

I am writing to share that my father, José Luis Oropeza Jr (known to many as Joe), is critically ill with COVID. He was likely exposed while managing one of several essential public works projects on-site.

Since January 14th Joe has been in the ICU. His condition has been life-threatening since the beginning and his healthcare team has said that there is no clear discharge date.

Due to his illness, Joe will need to carry an oxygen-tank with him for the foreseeable future and is unable to return to work immediately. We are working to secure him suitable housing that will meet his requirements of care.

Gwendolyn and I are handling the financial aspects, but as we are in our early twenties and just starting our careers, we are reaching out to our community of family, friends, and associates for kindness and support.

Any help no matter the amount is good help.
