Gloria visited Canada to see her daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. She experienced a stroke and ended up being hospitalized within an ICU and then transitioning downwards slowly to less acute hospital wards, while her travel insurance was maxed out.

George and Bernalyn both work within Toronto hospitals and moved to Canada just a few years ago themselves and will be severely over-burdened by these massive hospital bills.
