Recently, I experienced a life-altering accident that resulted in second- and third-degree burns. It all happened in a matter of seconds—something I could have never anticipated. As a first responder, I’ve spent my career showing up for others in their time of need, never imagining I’d one day be on the other side of that experience.

I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and on the road to recovery. Thanks to my support system, I have a solid foundation, but injuries like this come with many unexpected costs—medical bills, treatments, time away from work, and everyday essentials that quickly add up.
