TO BENEFIT ADDIYSN GRACE HEINZ

The family was completely devastated when on September 9, 2018, Addiysn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic ALL (leukemia).  Addiysn began a 7 month grueling treatment plan during which her little body was continuously poisoned with harsh chemotherapy drugs, punctured with needles and tested over and over.  Addisyn’s journey has been devastating.

What does going into remission mean to a child with Leukemia? Going into remission marks a turning point in the treatment. It's a sign the cancer is under control and the patient is now put on a LTM plan (long term maintenance).  Yet it doesn't mean that it is a cure or treatment can stop completely. For Addisyn, being in remission means nightly oral chemo and another type of chemo once a week.  Once every 2 weeks, her blood counts are checked at the hospital and once every 3 months she undergoes a procedure where two different chemotherapy meds are injected into her spine while fluid is taken to be tested for any Leukemia growth. She also has a 5 day steroid dose twice daily around this same time, which creates irritability, knocks down her immune system, causes sores in her mouth, tummy, and bottom, as well as overall muscle pain. Addie will continue with Long Term Maintenance treatment until she is 5 years old. Remission for Addie  means that her life is not that of a carefree little girl but a child oppressed by a lingering illness. Mom and Dad are there by her side and trying to survive the upheaval to all of their lives.

Joy stays home with Addisyn to support Addisyn’s daily life and therapy.  Nathan is working tirelessly to get his own business “Hope Wash and Detail”, off to a good start.  They are a family, they are warriors, they are dedicated and they have all born the devastation of disease, praying to God to come out on the other side safely and with His grace.  And through it all, Addisyn smiles, wants nothing more than to be a Princess, (Belle, of course), sing, read stories, go to church and to be with her family and friends.  In our hearts, she is a Princess, all that and more.  This is Addie’s Grace!

Please help us give this beautiful family and sweet Princess a chance to “Hope”, a chance to rest, if only for a little while…a chance to perhaps pay an overdue bill, find a less expensive pharmacy,  just a chance to breathe.   Please help us help this little girl, 100% of all money raised goes to the family.
