Bella The Frenchie's Surgery fund

Hi my name is Andrea Celeste, I own a french bulldog who is a year and a half, his name is grizzly! He was recently the father to a litter of french bulldog puppies. On Thursday June 11th 5 beautiful french bulldogs were born. The breeder and I received a call about the number of puppies and that one was born with a cleft palate and should be put down. The breeder agreed that she was not going to have the time due to the extreme amount of time it takes to raise a cleft palate baby in addition to the rest of the litter . After speaking with the vet and hearing that she was healthy and was able to nurse, I did not have the heart to let the vet put her down. The breeder went over all of the work that goes into keeping a puppy with a cleft palate alive. Having never raised puppies before I reached out to french bulldog breeders for advice and countless cleft palette organization to learn how to care for this new baby girl.  I knew that if I researched enough information, put all my time into keeping her alive  and having the vet on call that I could hopefully give her the chance of living a wonderful life. We have a routine of tube feeding her every 2 hours, suctioning her nose to make sure no formula is getting into her lungs, weighing her to ensure she in gaining weight, then stimulating her since she is aways from her litter mates and mother. This will continue to be our routine until she begins to move to kibble where we will still need to tube feed her water and blended kibble mixed with formula until she is old enough to receive the correction surgery.  We call her Bella, she is a beautiful blue french bulldog with a spunky lively personality for a 72 hour old puppy! She has narrow cleft palate that makes it difficult for her to get the proper suction to nurse or bottle feed.  We are looking to raise money to pay for her surgery that will happen around 8-12 weeks of age to correct her cleft palate.
