Belfast Paddy the fisherman

I'm heartbroken for my sister and husband writing this..

These two are 19 years together, Paddy won Marie's heart with that Belfast accent in a Longford pub June 2004 he took on her 2 children and Marie after not having it easy in life and healed her broken heart, eventually having their own daughter Katelyn the absolute apple of her daddy's eye.

December 2022 Paddy started to feel unwell he is not the best man to attend a doctor typical man but soon after Xmas Marie convinced him to go and he went for bloods and checkup this started off a diagnosis that would change their lives.

Paddy got a call to go straight to hospital in the coming days eventually after tests and scans they were told the heart breaking news Paddy had

Mantle Lymphoma..

Paddy has just completed 6 tough rounds of chemo 2 weeks ago, admitted to hospital numerous times for low blood needing transfusions all done like a true warrior with Marie never leaving his side, breaking down in silence when it was tough watching him going through this and not being able to take it away...

At the weekend Paddy went downhill very fast and what he never would agree too he gave Marie permission to call an ambulance yesterday Sunday..

Paddy had scans immediately which unfortunately has confirmed he has terminal brain cancer..

His words to Marie

'It is what it is' true Paddy style.

Paddy had to give up work since Xmas, Marie has taken full time care of him.

Bills still need paying their car still needs petrol and down the line there will be expenses to pay, he is in Tullamore Hospital atm..

I'm asking you please help me to help them not worry about bills or petrol and other expenses.

Latest scans have shown a bleed on the brain which indicates a stroke, doctors are hoping the bleed was mistaken for a tumor and cancer has not spread to his brain please keep prayers going..

Paddy did have a stroke there is a mass on his brain showing in scans they said is blood from the stroke..

Paddy is very unwell..

He is very disorientated and his eyesight is badly affected..

He has been kept in Tullamore, Marie has travelled down everyday this week today He is being let out for a couple of hours to attend his daughters graduation Mass this evening but has to go back to Tullamore..
