Beirut Explosion "Studio Fouad"

“A massive explosion rocked the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Tuesday evening, August 4th, 2020.”
People's homes and lives were destroyed in the time it took the explosion to rip through a once beautiful city. It is a trauma inflicted on a country that is already struggling to cope not only with COVID-19 but also the effects of an unprecdented economic crisis.
Part of Lebanon's history has been lost as well and "without history there is no memory. Without memory there is no future.”
Studio Fouad, founded by my father and uncle, has been located in the heart of Gemmayze since 1953. I took over the family business and supported the transition to a digital age a few years ago. Unfortunately, the studio was a casualty of the explosion. Decades of hard work and effort just gone. This has taken an emotional toll on my family, as we have lost our main source of income and our legacy.
I appeal to anyone and everyone who is able to help, even if it is just a little, to please make a donation so we can begin the rebuild and recover what was so cruelly taken away from us. My family and I thank you in advance for your act of kindness.
The amount collected will be spent on:
1) Studio redevelopment: Window display, storefront, wall restoration and paint, false ceiling, electric wiring and installation, spotlights, display stands, aluminium frame and shop glass, air-conditioner.
2) Professional equipment: Cameras, lenses, printer, scanner, desktop computer, videocam, gopro camera, dji flying cam, memory cards, external hard drives, LED lights, tripods, TV.
3) Furniture: Desk, chairs, sofa, shelves.
I am more than happy to send proof of all expenditure as well as a record of the progress to any interested donor.
