Beirut Blast Lebanon Disaster Relief Fund

Tax deductible
Lebanon and its citizens are experiencing unprecedented social, economic and political turmoil for months if not years.  In addition to this turmoil, Lebanon, with its limited resources, has also been the host of hundreds of thousand Syrian Refugees and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic has also added to existing challenges.  The deterioration of the Lebanese Lira compounded with extreme unemployment has resulted in a vast swath of the country living below the poverty levels.  Families are unable to provide for basic necessities like food and clean water.  Many families are relying on charities and religious organizations to survive.  The recent explosion at the Beirut port has descended the situation in Lebanon to a level never before seen.  Not only has the explosion caused over 130 fatalities, thousands injured, hundreds of thousands homeless, it has also left the country without its primary gateway for goods into the country.  Goods that were already in short supply.  The explosion also destroyed grain stores.  The crisis in Lebanon is no longer just political or economic, it is humanitarian. Lebanese are in dire need of help in many ways including food, shelter, medical supplies and other basic human needs.  We need your support to help Lebanon and the Lebanese.  The Lebanese information Center (LIC), the largest Lebanese-American grassroots organization committed to promoting Lebanese history, culture and values, is working with the Red In  Circle Association (RICA) in Lebanon, to help RICA in its mission to provide basic needs to needy families.  Prior to this explosion, the LIC was already hard at work through its grassroots network to provide needed assistance, however, the current situation has increased the need exponentially. We are looking for your support to help us on our mission to ensure the survival of Lebanon and the Lebanese.  Your donations will be used to provide food rations, medications and other basic necessities to those in need.
