Hi, my name is Nathaniel Mensah, and I’m the writer, director, and lead behind an upcoming Miles Morales Spider-Man fan film called Becoming Our Spider-Man.

This project is more than just a movie to me — it’s a dream I’ve carried for years, ever since I first started writing this story at a young age.

For me, Spider-Man — especially Andrew Garfield’s version — has always been about resilience. His Spider-Man wasn’t perfect. He struggled, he made mistakes, and he carried real pain, from losing Gwen to facing betrayal. But no matter what, he always got back up.

That message — of never giving up even when life knocks you down — has stayed with me ever since. It’s the heart of this film, and the reason this project means so much to me.

SYNOPSIS

Miles Morales is still learning what it means to be Spider-Man but everything changes when the people he trusts most become the biggest threats to his city.

After discovering his uncle is the Hobgoblin and a mentor has fallen under the control of a dangerous symbiote, Miles is forced to face a reality he’s not ready for.

Why We Need Your Help

We are now entering post-production, the stage where the film truly comes to life. To make this story feel real, we need to complete the visual effects (VFX) — including bringing Spider-Man’s movement, action, and world to the screen in a believable way.

Our goal is:

$900 to fully complete post-production and VFX

This is the final step.

We’re not asking for a huge budget — just enough to finish what we started and make it the best it can be.
