Becky Wolf Memorial Fund
This is Becky. Becky was a vibrant 16 year old tomboy who loved being outdoors. She was a Junior at Tomah High School, living a normal teenage life. On April 11, Becky even went to her first prom with a group of girlfriends. Tragaically, on Sunday April 19 Becky was in a horrific accident on her way home from church. She was med-flighted from the scene to the Medical Center in LaCrosse where she fought a great battle for her life. For 11 days Becky was in the ICU. She was fighting to keep the swelling and pressure in her brain down to tolerable levels. She was on a respirator, in a medically induced coma, medically paralyzed and on a cooling machine all in an effort to fight the swelling and pressure allowing her brain to heal from the trauma.
On Wednesday April 29, Becky had been removed from the mecially induced coma, the cooling maching and the medical paralysis. Her intracranial pressure was now down. They brought her in to the OR for a procedure. However, following the procedure Becky suffered significant and substantial complications from which she did not recover.
The family was by her side day and night. They would go home occasionally only to shower and change clothes, and maybe spend the occasional night sleeping in a real bed. Along with the considerable grief, the family has incurred remarkable expenses from the travel back and forth, missed work and medical bills that won't be fully covered by insurance. They would very much appreciate your financial support. They also need your prayers for the next few days as they do the most difficult thing imaginable; preparing funeral arrangements for their young daughter.
